Mike has been involved in generating and analyzing large and complex data sets throughout his career. He has significant experience in bridging the gap between basic scientific research and real-world production environments in three very different industries: defense, genomics, and finance. He has developed state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics software to design various features of US Navy ships and submarines. He led the development of a web-based functional genomics discovery platform using a novel application of graph theory. Most recently, he has developed new quantitative stock trading algorithms using machine learning techniques. Mike enjoys the challenge of finding software solutions that are both easy-to-use and as useful as possible.
